serengeti lionsDay 1: Nairobi – Amboseli

0700 hours Depart Nairobi and drive south across the Athi Plains, home of the Maasai and on to Amboseli National park. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of free-ranging African elephants as well as huge herds of wildebeests and many other animals including giraffes, lions, monkeys, zebras and hyenas with Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain providing a beautiful back drop. We arrive early mid-day and freshen up, followed by lunch and a short rest. Later explore the Amboseli plains in an evening game drive at 1600 hours.
Dinner & Overnight at your Amboseli Lodge or Camp.

Day 2: Amboseli

Spend the day at Amboseli with game viewing drives.

Dinner and overnight at your Amboseli lodge or tented camp.

Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Manyara.

After breakfast depart for the Kenya / Tanzania Namanga border, clear with customs / immigration and proceed to Arusha for lunch.
Afternoon game viewing drive at Lake Manyara National Park. The park is home to hippos, elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, waterbuck and the famous tree climbing lions. Flocks of flamingoes and other birds are found.
Dinner and overnight at your Lake Manyara lodge or tented camp.

Day 4: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast drive to Serengeti National park via Olduvai gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s archeological discoveries. Afternoon game viewing drive.
Dinner and overnight at your Serengeti lodge or tented camp.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park.

Day spent at Serengeti with game viewing drives. Serengeti borders Kenya’s Masai Mara game reserve and is the largest of all National parks in Tanzania. Explore the different forms of vegetation and landscapes of the Serengeti ecosystem with lots of wildlife and bird species. The park is home to the greatest wildlife spectacle – the great wildebeest migration. The resident population of lions, cheetah, elephant, giraffe and birdlife is impressive.
Dinner and overnight at your Serengeti lodge or tented camp.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro.

After breakfast depart for Ngorongoro crater. On arrival descend into the crater floor for the crater tour. Lunch shall be at Ngoitoktok picnic site. Black manned lions, rhino, buffalo, elephants and other grazing animals abound.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp.

Day 7: Ngorongoro – Nairobi.

After breakfast drive to Nairobi via Kenya – Tanzania Namanga border with lunch stop enroute.
Arrive Nairobi in the late afternoon.
